Overview

Dungeon Delvers was developed as part of Abertay’s Online Together Jam which partnered with YMCA Scotland. The game would take the form of an online co-op RPG, casual, dungeon crawler. The game featured an action combat system, co-operative puzzles, online multiplayer and procedural level generation.

During the development of this project I would work as the sole gameplay, animation and network scripter. The project was to be developed in our spare time over 10 days.

Gameplay scripting

Scripting Overview:

 

As gameplay scripter, I worked in-engine to develop combat mechanics, procedural level generation, enemy AI, player controls and networked multiplayer.

Features:

  • Varying combat styles based for each weapon

  • Enemy AI with logic to help enemies attack at different times
